Climbing Program
Our 35 foot climbing tower will offer a challenge for any level climber as well as provide opportunities for rappelling. Next to the climbing tower is a bouldering wall for climbers to practice their skills while waiting their turn to climb. When using the tower at Camp Sequassen, the camp will provide all safety equipment including helmets, harnesses and ropes. No personal safety equipment is allowed. If you wish you use your own climbing shoes or chalk bag, that is permissible.
There are two options for using the climbing tower. Your unit may provide its own certified instructors or you may use certified instructors through the camp. If you wish to provide your own instructors, they must meet Boy Scout instructor certification levels. For more information, please contact Andrea Ulery at the Milford Resource Center. If you wish to use instructors that the camp is providing, please notify Anna, the camping registrar at the time of your registration. All climbing at Sequassen must be approved. If your instructor is not pre approved for instruction, you will not be permitted to climb.
Climbing Tower Usage Fees
- For a unit that is providing its own certified instructors: $25.00 per hour with no limit on the number of climbers.
- For a unit that needs the camp to provide the instructors: $20.00 per participant for 3 hours or $30.00 per participant for 7 hours.
