ABOUT DAY CAMP:  Connecticut Yankee Council's Day Camps are week long (Monday-Friday) programs hosted in six communities over the course of the summer.  Packs, Dens, and individuals are all welcome to register! Scouts will experience all the awesome things camp can offer while remaining close to home.   Cub Scouts can participate in many types of activities including archery, field sports, nature, STEM, Scout skills, and more.  All areas (especially archery and water activities) place a special emphasis on safety procedures. Each week also has a Family Day complete with awards and a campfire or ceremony in the afternoon.

THEMES:  Each year, Day Camp builds activities around a theme to bring the action to a whole new level.  This summer's theme is Return of the Cubs: The Spirit Lives!.

Camp is open to all Cub Scouts who will be in first through fifth grades as of September 2018.  Parents are encouraged to volunteer and participate and also join the camp on Friday afternoon for a sing-along and closing ceremony with your son.

Contact Cindy Pepe at Cynthia.Pepe@scouting.org for more information.

Space is limited to 200 per session.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING:  If you plan to be an adult OR youth volunteer you will be required to attend a training session being held at the Council Resource Center, date to be determined.  This training will be required EVEN IF you have volunteered at Cub Scout Day Camp in previous years and/or attended a previous Day Camp training. Please note that all volunteers, both youth and adult must have a current BSA Medical Form on file.  Please consider this before volunteering.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS YEAR WE WILL BE WELCOMING ALL BOY SCOUTS TO VOLUNTEER AT CAMP REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE!               Please note that Boy Scout volunteers must attend pre-camp training.

                                                                                                                                                                    TRAINING DATE & TIME TBD

PREREGISTRATION DAYS (Every Wednesday):  Tired of waiting in line?  To solve some of our previous issues with Monday morning check in, the Day Camp Staff will be holding a preregistration days every Wednesday at the Council Resource Center with Cindy Pepe.  This will cut your drop-off time on Monday morning from an hour or more to 10 minutes!! Every Wednesday from 10:30 am until 3:30 pm you can come into the office and submit your packet to Cindy Pepe and if everything is in order you will be given a fast pass and be marked as pre-registered. Please be aware that you should only come in with your packet when it is complete.  Please note that Wednesday times are firm to allow for other projects to be worked on.  If you are unable to come on a Wednesday, you may call Cindy (203.951.0228) to set-up an appointment for another day.  Please do not mail in or walk-in your packets at any other time.  Thank you.
