Other staffing needs and restrictions:

The Connecticut Yankee Council Day Camp is dedicated to excellence and therefore dedicated to its staff. We make every effort to ensure that our staff is properly trained, supported and happy, so they can do the best job possible. Our staff also enjoy helping kids excel while they participate in sports, crafts, nature, games, Scout skills, archery and swimming. They make a difference in the lives of children as they role model good citizenry, work hard, enhance their resumes, increase leadership skills, work great hours (7:30am - around 5:00pm), enjoy nights and weekends off, and much, much more!

Volunteer Leadership

Our Day Camp staff consists of a core group of paid staff members that work out in the program areas. Den Leader positions are held by trained volunteers. Why volunteer for Day Camp? You spend a week with your son having fun in the great outdoors. On top of quality time your son attends Day Camp at a discounted rate. For more information on volunteering at camp as a youth leader or as an adult den leader visit our Volunteer Information page.
