Besides the location, Deer Lake Scout Reservation, there are many other differences between the Cub Scout Day Camp at Deer Lake and the Cub Scout Day Camps at the other five locations throughout the Council.  Please be sure to read through the information and materials pertaining to the Deer Lake Cub Day Camp and use the Deer Lake specific forms/documents to complete the registration and attendance requirements.  A summary of the differences follows:

Program - The theme, Super Heroes, is unique to Deer Lake.

The daily program includes archery, BB guns, swimming and boating.  Not all of these activities are offered at all of the other camp locations.

Staff - The same staff that runs the Cub Action Camp at Deer Lake will be staffing the Cub Day Camp program.

Registration - Registration for Cub Day Camp at Deer Lake may be done online or by downloading the registration form.

Daily Schedule - Cub Day Camp at Deer Lake starts at 8:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm each day, Monday - Friday.  For an additional fee, extended day options are available, starting at 7:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm.

Hot lunch is served daily in the dining hall.  If your camper has dietary restrictions, for medical or religious reasons, please complete and submit the dietary restrictions form, available below, with the rest of the camper's packet.

Submitting paperwork - All required paperwork, FOR DEER LAKE DAY CAMP ONLY, should be submitted to the Milford Scout office no later than June 24.  (To turn in documents for the other Day Camp sessions, please follow the specific instructions given at:  http://www.ctyankee.org/camping/cubdaycamp)  All forms required for Cub Day Camp at Deer Lake are available below.

If you are interested in being an adult volunteer for the week at Day Camp (and receiving a free week at Day Camp for one child) there are some positions available.  Complete the Adult Volunteer Form, available here, and submit it to Carolyn Cruson, ccruson@bsamail.org.  As a volunteer staff member, you will be required to attend a training session.  This training will be required even if you have volunteered at Cub Scout Day Camp in previous years and/or attended a previous Day Camp training.  Please also note that you MUST HAVE A CURRENT MEDICAL FORM TO VOLUNTEER AT CAMP.

Refund Policy:  Each session requires a $50 non-refundable deposit.  Refunds for the balance of the fees are made only for the following reasons: 1) Serious illness, accident or death in the immediate family, 2) Camper is required to attend summer school which conflicts with the day camp schedule, 3) Family moves outside of Council boundaries prior to the start of camp.  All refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to the Council office.  Requests will be considered on a case by case basis.  Please understand that when you register your child for camp, we purchase supplies and materials for them so we cannot refund camp fees for any but the stated reasons.  Thank you.
