Summer Camp Program - Employment Opportunities

Cub Scout Day Camp - Camp Staff

Join the Connecticut Yankee Council scouting community for new adventures, activities and friendships at our Council's Day Camp program. Our day camp is a traditional Cub Scout summer DAY camp that moves from Wallingford to Greenwhich during the summer. Explore a new location every week with a whole new set of eager campers! We emphasize an environment that is fun, safe and supportive. Our staff is what makes the Connecticut Yankee Council's Day Camp program extraordinary.

Cub Scout Day Camp - Volunteer Staff

Our Day Camp staff consists of a core group of paid staff members that work out in the program areas. Den Leader positions are held by trained volunteers. Why volunteer for Day Camp? You spend a week with your son having fun in the great outdoors. On top of quality time your son attends Day Camp at a discounted rate. A volunteer who spends the entire week can earn a discounted rate for their son to attend camp.

Volunteers should complete the volunteer camp staff application form and send it along with the day camp registration form to the Council Resource Center for consideration. Pre-camp training opportunities are made available to den leaders.

Questions about Day Camp employment opportunities should be sent to Christopher Guarniere, Day Camp Administrator.

Camp Sequassen - Counselor In Training Program

Fifteen-year-old Scouts are eligible to participate in Camp Sequassen’s two week CIT program. For the regular price of one week at camp, Scouts receive two weeks of leadership development training, as well as hands on experience

working in camp program areas. CITs attend the first week of camp followed by a second week of their choice working in the program areas. Scouts completing the CIT program will be given special consideration for employment on the camp staff the following year.
