North Madison’s Pack 495, Bear Den 5 “Good Turn” Project in Killingworth

Pack 495’s Bear Den, Den 5 worked on completing several Achievements towards earning their Bear Rank over the past several months. To earn Sharing Your Life with Wildlife, they boys began by visiting a Place Called Hope in Killingworth to learn more about the rehabilitation/care of injured birds in our area. They followed up this visit by building American Kestral Houses which were donated to the raptor facility where they will be used to increase the screech owl population across the state. They then finished this achievement with an overnight trip to the Roger Williams zoo to learn more about zoo careers and all the people that are necessary to make the zoo run on a daily basis.
