First Aid and CPR Courses


First Aid and CPR for Adult Scout Leaders:  If you’re a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, or Venturing Leader with an active outdoor program and/or planning a High Adventure,this is the course for you! It will allow you to meet Tour Plan requirements and “Be Prepared” to handle emergencies. 

Two weekend courses being offered:

  • CLICK HERE for the Saturday, December 30 First Aid & CPR Course.  9 am to  5 pm at the Darien Scout Cabin, 140 West ave., Darien
  • CLICK HERE for the Saturday, January 6 First Aid & CPR Course. 9 am to 5 pm at the Darien Scout Cabin, 140 West Ave., Darien.


Wilderness First Aid (Sixteen hour advanced course for those going to Philmont and the various high adventure bases) will be held January 13th and 27th (both days required).  Please note that First Aid and CPR is prerequisite to WFA. WFA participants must have valid, unexpired First Aid and CPR cards, preferably from us or from an equivalent agency.  


All Courses aer certification by the American Safety and Health Institute recognized by the Boy Scouts of America. CAPT Steve Coe, Powahay Health and Safety Chairman, will serve as the course Instructor.
