Activities - USA Archery Instructor Course Posted Jul. 31, 2018
Successful completion of the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor course meets the minimum requirement for running an archery range for BSA activities. The course covers setting up a safe range, instructional techniques, basic equipment maintenance and how to instruct youth to safely and properly enjoy the sport of archery. Attendees must be 18 years or older. The fee for the course is $100. Registration and payment must be received at the Milford Scout office by August 17.

Activities - Scout Day at Lime Rock Posted Jul. 31, 2018
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers - Start your program year with a Fall outing at Lime Rock Park! An easy campout Friday night, Sept. 28, followed by an all-day Saturday program of racing, Saturday, Sept. 29. This event is an annual favorite for Scout units and families. Fee includes an event patch for the first 1000 registrants and Friday night camping. Registration deadline for receiving tickets by mail is September 14.
(Tickets may be purchased and picked up at the Milford Scout Office through September 28.)

Activities - Fright Night at Deer Lake Posted Jul. 31, 2018
Join the Halloween festivities at Deer Lake Scout Reservation, Saturday, October 27. Hayrides, Pumpkin decorating, crafts, snacks and a haunted trail are all available at the event. Choose your "scare" level by signing up for Fright Light from 4-6 pm or Fright Night from 6 - 8 pm. Registration deadline is October 19. Invite your whole den or Pack and share the fun!

Activities - Fishing Derby 2019 Posted Jul. 31, 2018
Usher in Spring with a morning of fishing at beautiful Deer Lake Scout Reservation in Killingworth. Start with a hearty pancake breakfast and then head to the stocked lagoon to await the start of the derby. Youth only fish from 8-11 am and prizes will be awarded to all who catch their two trout limit by 11 with an additional prize drawing for derby qualifiers. Open to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and their families. Registration deadline is March 29.

The Quinnipiac Dancers, the Council’s Order of the Arrow Native American dancers, can help you with their interpretations of Indian culture through their songs, dance and outfits. We can tailor our performances to your group’s needs.

- Handmade outfits depicting modern American Indian pow wow dancers.

Activities - Camp Degree - Masonic Scouters Assoc. Posted May. 26, 2018
The Connecticut Masonic Scouters Association and Evening Star Lodge No. 101 A.F. & A.M. will present the CAMP DEGREE on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. Open to all regular Masons with an interest in Scouting, this Entered Apprentice Degree will be performed in a secluded forest location at Camp Workoeman by Scouters in full uniform. Dinner will be served in the camp dining hall prior to the degree. All Freemasons in good standing in regular Masonic lodges are welcome to attend. Those registered in the Scouting are encouraged to attend in full BSA uniform. All others should be dressed comfortably for the outdoors. Bring an apron, camp chair, and don't forget the bug spray.
