Activities - All Day Pass at an Indoor Water Park Posted Jan. 5, 2009
Have you ever had the opportunity to experience an indoor water park in the middle of the winter? Connecticut Yankee Council and Coco Key Water Resort inside the Waterbury Holiday Inn are pleased to provide Cub Scouts and their entire family with a unique adventure. From a lazy river tube ride to three thrilling body- and raft- water slides, a giant activity and spa-like pools, there’s something here for all ages. This is a parent, supervised event. Each Participant must attend with their parent or guardian. Den Chiefs are encouraged to participate with their dens.
Registration must be submitted to the Council Resource Center before February 6th 2008. Details will be provided, via e-mail, upon registration.

Activities - Harlem Globetrotters Scout Activity Posted Jan. 5, 2009
Scouts are invited to join the Harlem Globetrotters for a fun filled evening of basketball hillarity. Scouts are invited to enter the doors early to attend the pre-game session of Globetrotter University, promoting healthy lifestyles through the S.P.I.N (Some playtime is Necessary) program. Best of all Scouts save $10.00 per ticket when you order in advance.

The event is held on Monday, February 23 at 7:00 PM at the O'Neill Center at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. Please see the event flyer for more details. Registration information is NOT handled through your Connecticut Yankee Council Resource Center but are handled through Cyndee Young Group Sales.

Activities - Good Turn for America -- SCOUTS CAN Posted Jan. 5, 2009
Connecticut Yankee Council units are working together to raise $50,000 to help Habitat for Humanity build a home for a local family. The campaign is scheduled from January 1st through December 31st and has three suggested dates for deposit can and bottle drives. By redeeming a can a day we can build a house and have money left over for the housewarming gift. Units are encouraged to sign up early.
