Activities - Cub Scout STEM Day Camp Posted Jun. 15, 2018
Back by popular demand!
Summer STEM camp at the Darien Scout Cabin, August 13 to 17, 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Open to boys and girls entering 1st to 5th grade. Jump start your child’s school year with fun science and technology!

Over 50 new hands-on experiments in chemistry, circuitry, robotics, coding, engineering and forensics. The registration fee of $395 covers the cost of:

- Camp instruction, experiments, and materials
- Camp tee shirt and water bottle

Enjoy a jam-packed week of awesome science experiments taught by our knowledgeable, trained staff who knows how to have fun in a collaborative team environment.

Activities - Building Trades Merit Badge Workshop Posted May. 24, 2018

This is a Merit Badge Workshop centered on the building trades. It is designed to expose Scouts to merit badges that may not be easily accessible in their home troop. Scouts use technology available at the Meriden Training Facility and work alongside Union Tradesmen to earn two merit badges. All Merit Badge Counselors are registered and trained. The workshop offers the following merit badges: American Labor, Architecture, Electricity, Engineering, Metalwork, Painting, Plumbing, Surveying, Welding and Woodwork.

The Quinnipiac Dancers, the Council’s Order of the Arrow Native American dancers, can help you with their interpretations of Indian culture through their songs, dance and outfits. We can tailor our performances to your group’s needs.

- Authentic Native American Dance Interpretations.
- Live Native American music.
- Audience participation.
- Handmade outfits depicting modern American Indian pow wow dancers.
- Feathers, bells and beads on flashy colorful outfits.
- All dancers are youth members of our Order of the Arrow Lodge, Owaneco 313.

Activities - Camp Degree - Masonic Scouters Assoc. Posted May. 26, 2018
The Connecticut Masonic Scouters Association and Evening Star Lodge No. 101 A.F. & A.M. will present the CAMP DEGREE on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. Open to all regular Masons with an interest in Scouting, this Entered Apprentice Degree will be performed in a secluded forest location at Camp Workoeman by Scouters in full uniform. Dinner will be served in the camp dining hall prior to the degree. All Freemasons in good standing in regular Masonic lodges are welcome to attend. Those registered in the Scouting are encouraged to attend in full BSA uniform. All others should be dressed comfortably for the outdoors. Bring an apron, camp chair, and don't forget the bug spray.
