Registration for Scout Day at the Maritime Aquarium will open on January 16, 2018 through the Reservation Department at the Maritime Aquarium. Please call Aquarium: 203-852-0700 x2206. M-F, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Come enjoy a day of Scout fun at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. Special programs are being offered just for Scouts along with all of the excitement The Maritime Aquarium offers. All of this and the largest IMAX® movie screen in Connecticut makes our Scout Day an event you do not want to miss!

The Appalachian Trail runs though our own backyard, and is a wonderful source for high adventure trips. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy has put together an excellent information page for scout troops interested in hiking the AT.

Activities - Chess Merit Badge Workshop Posted Feb. 9, 2018
Chess Merit Badge Workshop -- Saturday, April 21, 2018
9 AM Check-in — 9:15 to 11:15 AM Class

At the Chess Club of Fairfield County, LLC, 710 West Ave., Norwalk, CT 06850
The fee is $30 payable to the Chess Club of Fairfield County. Scouts must bring payment to the workshop. The Chess Club will provide instructors and chess set for the workshop.

Scouts MUST have a basic understanding of Chess and how the pieces move. In order to complete the Chess Merit Badge Scouts need to compete in a chess tournament scheduled at the May 12 ConnJam. The Boston Science Museum overnight is a fun and educational activity for Cub Scouts and there is still time to register your Pack for this event! Location: Lyman Hall High School, 70 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT

Tuition: $25.00 includes Merit Badge Pamphlets and Merit Badge College Patch. No refunds after class assignment.

Registration: Please register your boys as a unit, individual registrations are not encouraged. On-line registrations are not considered complete until payment has been processed.

Each Scout can take up to three Merit Badges, but please be sure to select eight. Scouts must be First Class rank as of December 21, 2017. Scouts registered without a rank will not be considered. Please register early as the site will shut down at the earlier of the deadline date or when capacity has been reached.

The Quinnipiac Dancers, the Council’s Order of the Arrow Indian dancers, can help you with their interpretations of Indian culture through their songs, dance and outfits. We can tailor our performances to your group’s needs.

- Authentic Native American Dance Interpretations.
- Live Indian music.
- Audience participation.
- Handmade outfits depicting modern Indian pow wow dancers.
- Feathers, bells and beads on flashy colorful outfits.
- All dancers are youth members of our Order of the Arrow Lodge, Owaneco 313.

We will take bookings starting September 1, 2017 on a first come first serve basis. Our dance season starts January 1, 2018. Call or email early as the openings fill quickly.
