Maybe We Can Make a Difference

As adult leaders, we have a responsibility to teach our youth how to make ethical choices, how to lead, how to become good citizens. To accomplish this, the members of the Council and District Training Committees make a promise to the Scouters of our Council. We pledge to offer the best training programs we can, to do our level best to deliver high quality training programs. Our goal as leaders is to help make a difference in the lives of our Scouts.

Welcome to the Training Home of the Council web site. As Council Training Chair, I will try my best to make this web site as useful as possible, to post timely and accurate information on our many and varied training courses, to make the web pages as informative as possible, and also to be responsive to the training needs of our Scouters.

On the left side menu, you find a Contacts listing. The list is there for a reason - to make it easier for our customers (you) to contact us with questions, comments, ideas, and concerns.

Also on the menu you'll find the Training Calendar. That's a great place to see course offerings.

We try very hard to keep our (your) Training Records up to date, but we need your help. That why there's a menu item to Update Training Records.  Please visit that web page as soon as practical.

I write a short article for each Scouter Newsletter. You're welcome to browse current and past training articles here:

On the web site, there's lots of other content, links, and "stuff" that will help you as a Scout Leader to do your job better, to make a difference.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
