Messages to Live By

As Trainers, we are always looking for better ways of delivering our message. But some messages can’t be improved upon. Here are some examples of messages that probably have been said well enough:

If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else.

   ~ Yogi Berra

If a man cannot make his point to keen boys in ten minutes, he ought to be shot!

  ~ Baden Powell

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

   ~ Margaret Mead

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

  ~ Robert Frost

Character is what we do when we think no one is looking.

  ~ Jackson Browne

To make Scouting successful, we need three things: training, training, and more training.

  ~ James E. West

After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one.

  ~ Cato the Elder

May I do to others as I would that they should do unto me.

   ~ Plato

As you are delivering the message to your Scouts and your Scouters, are you making a difference? The answer should always be YES.
