Why Get Trained?

That's a fair question. Let me try to give a fair answer. Trained leaders run better, safer programs than untrained leaders. Units with trained leaders are more successful. These units have better advancement, better recruitment and retention, better programs, safer programs, and have more Scouts and more Scouters and more parents involved with the unit.

Trained leaders have a better understanding of the Scouting program, its principals and methods, and as a result, they just do a better job.

We all want our sons and daughters to have a great Scouting experience, free from injury and harm. We want our Scouts to learn, advance, have fun, make friends, have role models, become role models. Well...trained leaders can and do make that happen every day and every way.

If you, as a Scouter, need training, or need more training - take an on-line program, sign up for a training course, come to a monthly District Roundtable. Please.

Doesn't every youth deserve a trained leader?

(The answer is: YES)
