Scouter Article January 2011
Thank you
As we start a new year, I wanted to thank everyone for your strong support of training throughout Connecticut Yankee Council. Many thanks to Scouters who took time out of already overcrowded schedules to attend one of the many training programs offered by our Districts and Council. Also thanks to Scouters who stayed an extra hour at work or stayed up an extra hour at night (after the kids were asleep) to complete an on-line training program, either because they wanted to or needed to. Thank you to the Unit, District and Council Trainers who taught a training session, planned a program, served as a Course Director, helped out a fellow or fellowette trainer, or who themselves completed a training program, either because they wanted to or needed to.
Know that our Scouts and our families recognize the value of our training and also know that we are better leaders delivering a better program, due in no small part to our training.
We ARE making a difference. Isn’t that what Scouting is all about?

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
