Getting Started On-Line
The first step to getting started is to visit http://www.scouting.org and click
on the link for "". Here you'll need to set up your own personal account so that you'll receive full credit for the trainings in your personal profile with Council. You will need your individual Member ID number located on your membership card. If you do not have it, you can contact your unit's advancement coordinator who can retrieve the number through the Internet Advancement application, or contact your district executive who can look it up. You may also need our Council number: Connecticut Yankee Council is number 072.
Note: You must be a registered leader in order to receive a Member ID number. You can set up an account without it, but your record at Council may not reflect completion of the training unless a membership number is entered.
Once you've set up your account with MyScouting, you're ready to go. Follow the link to "E-Learning" and get started.
Training Validation Feature
Training Validation is a new menu item located under E-Learning on the left hand side menu. Clicking on Training Validation opens a new Training Search window. A link for "Advanced Search" allows for the input of a Scouter's name. A help button on the upper right side of the web page (the question mark) can also provide assistance.
