Good Turn Dining Hall

Construction has started on the NEW "Good Turn" Dining Hall at Deer Lake Scout Reservation. The dining hall is the centerpiece of the new Cub Scout Resident Camp at Deer Lake to open in 2010. The labor to build the dining hall was donated thanks to the generosity of the various state building trades, under the leadership of Ben Cozzi, Operating Engineers Local 478.

Site work began in the early summer 2009, with members of Local 478 clearing the land and improving the facility's emergency access road. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 17 to mark the official start of construction. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for September 2010.
