Help Us Provide Opportunities
As Big As All Outdoors
Join with us and help provide young people programs that help people with self-confidence, teach an appreciation of our natural resources, stress team building, and offer other positive life skills that establish a lifelong commitment for family, community, and country.
Our vision is unapologetically ambitious, but the need is great. While we serve 25,000 young people there are thousands more in our communities that will benefit from our continued expansion. Scouting offers programs that reach into every facet of life and learning: out training supports school-based education while providing group and independent studies that can lead to career exploration, personal development, hobbies, and community service; we provide environmental leadership; and we stress working within and providing leadership in team situations.
Change, specifically the new resident camp at Deer Lake Scout Reservation, will expand all programs. We can add additional day camp programs throughout the summer, offer overnight camp for those seeking a longer experience, and enhance our year round programs to include school field trips for nature study and team building, offering weekend programs to include family members, and ensure more young people can participate.
Here is a list of the most vital projects we are undertaking to transform Deer Lake Scout Reservation. This infrastructure will complement existing program sites of swimming, boating, rock climbing, crafts, field sports, and hiking.
We invite you to see what we will provide and explore how you can help make this a reality.
