Registration opens for Connecticut Yankee Council Scouts on April 1 and all other Scouts on April 14. Online registration closes on June 1st. Merit badges are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A waiting list will be set up when the event reaches capacity. Registration fee of $42 per Scout and $10 per adult is required at time of registration and includes patch, meals, and program materials.
Scouts age 13 and over are invited to come to the Seventh Annual Connecticut Building Trades Merit Badge Workshop and earn two of ten trade-oriented badges:
American Labor, Architecture, Electricity, Engineering, Metalwork,
Painting, Plumbing, Surveying, Welding, Woodwork
Due to capacity and safety rules at the Training Center, this event it is limited to the first 120 Scouts who register online. Some badges have class size limitations due to equipment or safety rules. Every badge has multiple pre-requisites which must be completed prior to attending the Workshop. Scouts are expected to purchase and read the merit badge pamphlet in advance. At least one adult must register and attend from each participating Troop.
