Scouting America, Connecticut Yankee Council is launching Scouting’s Stewardship Society in 2026, a brand-new way for leaders, parents, and donors to help support our current Scouts and future Scouts have access to life-changing outdoor adventures, leadership training, community service opportunities and the fun of Scouting.

Starting in January 2026, our District volunteer teams will be aiding in the launch by setting up and conducting unit presentations.  The 2026 objective is to reach 40% of our Packs and Troops with the presentation and opportunity for its families to become an inaugural member of the Society.    To aid in this effort, the Stewardship Society Council Chair, Steve Agnew and Scout Executive, Kevin Nichols will host an orientation on the Stewardship Society program for District volunteer presenters on Thursday, November 13th, starting at 7:00 pm.  At this orientation, the following information will be shared and reviewed.

·       Stewardship Society support of the Council Budget

·       The mechanics of a recurring donation

·       Donor Support options – Four pathways of support

·       Individual and Unit Recognition Program
