The 2013 Friends of Scouting Campaign is underway! Friends of Scouting (FOS) is vital in Scouting's mission to instill values in young people. Friends of Scouting enables the Connecticut Yankee Council to provide an outstanding program to more than 17,000 young people in Fairfield and New Haven counties and the town of Southington. The Council's operating budget for 2013 is $4.3 million, of which $410,000 is raised through the generosity of Friends of Scouting, like you. 85 percent of every dollar goes directly to Program & Services to units. 10 percent is spent on fundraising expenses, 4 percent on administration and 1 percent on National service fees.
