Welcome to the Saugatuck District Page!

Your Beacon of Adventure!

We’re thrilled to bring the spirit of Scouting to young people throughout southern Fairfield County. As District leaders, our mission is to foster the growth and success of Scouting units in our communities. We partner with chartered organizations and local groups to establish and enhance Scouting programs. Embark on this exciting adventure with us!
The name Saugatuck, derived from the river in Westport, signifies a pivotal point where the former Powahay and parts of the Pomperaug Districts merge. Just as a lighthouse guides ships to safe shores, we strive to be “A Beacon of Adventure” for the youth we serve.

Yours in Scouting,

Nathan Schindler, District Chair | Adam Terr, District Commissioner | Jonathan Glassman, District Director
