To the Participants of Wood Badge Course 13-72-25:
Thank you for attending the best Scouting Leadership Program in the World. It was evident that you were engaged, thoughtful, excellent learners. I especially enjoyed joining your campfire on the first evening of your program, and telling my story. Sitting quietly in the nearby woods the following evening, I was a bit disappointed by the misleading rant told at your second campfire, but every Scouter is entitled to an opinion, however misguided.
My official guidance to you is to return to your units and work your Tickets back to Gilwell. My unofficial direction is to take the leadership skills you learned at Wood Badge and put them into practice. In other words: MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of the youth we serve together; AND work your Tickets.
To the Staff of Wood Badge Course 13-72-25:
Congratulations on the successful completion of your assignments. You each performed important functions, guiding your participants to a positive conclusion. You did everything your Scoutmaster and I asked of you and more. I am proud of your accomplishments. You clearly represent the “best of our best” Scout Leaders.
To Scoutmaster Ed:
You have lived up to my every expectation and performed your duties as Scoutmaster in an efficient and workmanlike manner. I believe the vision you set for your course participants and your staff was exceeded. Well Done.
