As District leaders, our goal is to ensure the growth and success of units in our great communities. We work with our chartered organizations and community groups to organize and grow Scouting units. Sept 27-28 Scout Day at Lime Rock: There is no better way to spend an early Fall weekend than camping out and enjoying a Saturday of racing at Lime Rock Park. https://mycouncil.ctyankee.org/Event/1245
Oct 5-6: Cub Scout Safari at Hoyt: Cub Scouts will embark on an exciting safari adventure at Hoyt Scout Reservation. They’ll explore, learn, and earn grade-specific Adventure Awards, with fun activities and optional overnight Pack Family Camping. https://mycouncil.ctyankee.org/Event/safari
Oct 19-20: Arrow of Light (5th Grade) Overnight at the Fall Camporee. Arrow of Light Scouts can camp with a host Troop or on their own and participate in the Scouts BSA Fall Camporee at Hoyt Scout Reservation. https://mycouncil.ctyankee.org/Event/1269
Nov 9 University of Adventures: Earn advancement through Adventures, enjoy special entertainment and a lunch. Three colleges are being offered —Bear 3rd Grade, Webelos 4th Grade, and Arrow of Light 5th Grade—each offering the new 2024 requirements. Nov 9 Train-A-Thon: Unique Training Courses are being planned during (but separate from) the University of Adventure, at the Easton Country Day School. More information coming.
Dec 7 CYC Chess Play and Tournament: Webelos and Arrow of Light invited — Join us for casual play, tournaments, Chess Merit Badge, Team Play Chess with our Mega Chess Set, and more. Oct 18-20 Saugatuck District Fall Camporee at Hoyt: Dive into Greek mythology at the “Clash of the Titans” competition hosted by Troop 219 Darien. Patrols will compete as Team Cronus (strength and leadership) or Team Prometheus (strategy and innovation) in exciting challenges at Hoyt Scout Reservation. https://mycouncil.ctyankee.org/Event/camporee
