Greetings all Cub Scouts and Parents! The 2022 Cub-O-Ree will be at Old Mine Park in Trumbull, CT on Sunday, October 30th. This event is designed to help scouts kick off their year.  Scouts will take part in fun and engaging activities while also working on rank advancement and earning awards.  Since this event is happening right before Halloween, Scouts are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween Costumes.  All scouts need to be accompanied by an adult partner at this event.

The event will be two separate half-day events. A Scout will be allowed to participate in either the morning or afternoon session, but not both. The morning session will run from 9:30 AM – 1:15 PM and the Afternoon session runs from 1:45 PM – 5:30 PM.

The activities at the event are designed for Cub Scouts of all ages.  However, rank advancement will be limited to Lions, Tigers, Wolf and Bear Scouts.  Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will have the opportunity for rank advancement at the Webelos Outdoor Weekend, more information about this event can be found at here.  Due to BSA policy Lions cannot participate in BB Guns, but can participate in all other activities.

We have included some of the most popular stations to maximize the fun.  Sessions at the event include:

  • Shooting Sports
  • Scout Craft and Camp Skills
  • Games

Participants will be split into dens and rotate to the different stations together throughout the day.  Scouts from the same pack will be grouped together but may be grouped with other units as well.  The schedule of events for the day can be seen below.

Registration is limited to 60 scouts per session in order to get all scouts through Shooting sports stations.  We expect this event to sell out, so please register early.  Once registration is closed no more spots will be made available.

Participants in the events will complete the requirements for the following awards and adventures:

LIONS

  • Rumble in the Jungle Adventure
  • Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award – Slingshots and Archery

TIGERS

  • Tiger Tag Adventure
  • Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award – Slingshots, Archery and BB Guns

WOLF

  • Running with the Pack Adventure
  • Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award – Slingshots, Archery and BB Guns

BEAR

  • Bear Necessities Adventure
  • Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award – Slingshots, Archery and BB Guns

WEBELOS/ARROW OF LIGHT

  • Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award – Slingshots, Archery and BB Guns

Additional restrictions and guidelines for this event.

  1. All Scouts must be accompanied by an adult partner
  2. All attendees must register at least 1 week in advance of the event.  No walk-ins will be allowed
