2023 Cub-O-Ree, Pomperaug District, Old Mine Park, Trumbull, CT

The 2023 Cub-O-Ree will be at Old Mine Park in Trumbull, CT on Sunday, October 15th. Since the event sold out in less than 12 hours last year, we have reworked the program this year to increase capacity by 30%.  To make this happen we have moved from 2 sessions to 3 sessions and will focus on shooting sports only, no rank advancement work this year. We are also limiting admission this year to scouts Tigers – Arrow of Light to allow more space for veteran scouts as well to alleviate overbooking of the event again this year.

A Scout will be allowed to participate in only 1 of the 3 sessions. The first session will run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, the second session run from 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM and the third session runs from 3:15 PM – 6:15 PM.

We have included all the Cub Scout shooting sport events to maximize the fun.  Sessions at the event include:

  • BB Guns
  • Archery
  • Slingshots

Participants will be split into dens and rotate to the different stations together throughout the day.  Scouts from the same pack will be grouped together but may be grouped with other units as well.  The schedule of events for the day can be seen below.

Once registration is closed no more spots will be made available, no additional spots are being held in reserve and no standby list will be opened.

All scouts will earn the Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award by participating in this event. For a scout to participate in this event they must:
