The fact that a person is an Eagle Scout has always carried with it a special significance, not only in Scouting but also in higher education, business or industry and community service.  The award is a performance based achievement whose standards have been well-maintained over the years.  Not everyone who joins a Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 5 percent of all Scouts do so.  This represents more than 2 million Scouts who have earned the rank since 1912.  Nevertheless, the goals of Scouting – citizenship training, character development and personal fitness – remain important for all Scouts, whether or not they attain the Eagle Scout rank.

Life Scouts must use the most current workbook and application.  Scouts who are currently working with a previous current version workbook may continue to use it through the completion of their project.  Please know that the most current application and workbook will be available on this page.

Important to remember, it is the Council Advancement Committee’s policy that the Eagle Scout application and the Eagle Scout Service Project workbooks should not be completed by hand.  Handwritten should be the exception and permission should be requested by contacting your District’s Advancement Chair.

Life Scouts will be required to complete the fundraising form found in the workbook if they will be soliciting money, materials and/or supplies with an expected cost greater than $500.  Is important to read the instructions for the form.  The form is not necessary if you, your parents or relatives, troop or its chartered organization, parents or members of your troop, or beneficiary will be financing the project cost.
