Frosted Camper Patch

 

The Boy Scouts of America strives to prepare Scouts to live in the outdoors in any season and in any weather. Winter camping offers many unique and fun challenges. Connecticut Yankee Council offers a special patch to recognize Boy Scouts and their leaders who dare to camp come rain, shine or sub-freezing weather. These hardy souls are entitled to wear the Frosted Camper patch.

To earn the patch, campers must be registered as a Scout or Venturer with the BSA and have survived an overnight campout in 20 degree (F) or less weather between December 1 and March 31. The overnight must have been done in a tent or lean-to with no heat source other than a communal campfire. Additional requirements are available using the link below.
