Come enjoy a day of Cub Scout fun at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk along with all of the excitement The Maritime Aquarium offers. All of this and the NEW 4D Theatre makes our Scout Day an event you do not want to miss! It’s fun for the entire family.
Aquarium admission includes a Cub Scout Day patch. Aquarium Members can purchase a patch for $2. All Scouts must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult leader. Admission must be purchased in advance to receive discount. 4D Movie tickets can be added to your visit for $7 per person ($6 for members.)
CHILDREN (AGES 3-12): $14 — ADULTS (13+): $19 — SENIORS (65+): $19
Special Cub Scout Programs include partial belt loops/pin requirements.
Program prices do not include admission to the Aquarium (must be purchased separately.) Cost is the same for both Aquarium Members and non-Members. More information on the programs can be found at the above registration link.
FLOATS & BOATS ADVENTURE – TIGERS
TIME: 10:30 A.M. – 12 P.M. — COST: $12
Take a dive at the Maritime Aquarium! During this program, we will visit our seals, identify different structures they have, and explore how they are able to survive in their ocean habitat. This program will help meet requirement #6 for the Floats and Boats adventure.
SPIRIT OF WATER – WOLVES
TIME: 10:30 A.M. – 12 P.M. — COST: $12
Take a dive into the world of turtles at the Maritime Aquarium. What makes a turtle a turtle, and how are they able to live on land and in the ocean? We will explore the different types of turtles we have at the aquarium and learn how sea turtles differ from those living on land. This program will help meet requirements 1 & 2 for the Spirit of the Water adventure.
SUPER SCIENCE ADVENTURE – BEARS
TIME: 1 – 2:30 P.M. — COST: $12
Sharks are one of our most misunderstood animals at the aquarium. Join us to learn about the amazing reasons why sharks are top of the food chain. This workshop will help meet requirement #3 for the Super Science adventure.
ADVENTURES IN SCIENCE – WEBELOS TIME: 1 – 2:30 P.M. — COST: $12
Visit the Maritime Aquarium to study some of our underrated stars: Jellies and Corals! We will introduce the variety of jellies and corals we have on exhibit and understand how they are able to survive in their habitats. This program will help meet requirement 3g for the Adventures in Science adventure.
INTO THE WILD RVS CRUISE – WEBELOS
TIME: 9:30 – 11:30 A.M. — COST: $28
What better way to explore the animals of Long Island Sound than aboard the aquarium’s research vessel, the RV Spirit of the Sound. All participants must be 42” tall and be accompanied by a chaperone. Chaperones must purchase a ticket to be on the cruise. This program will help meet requirements 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 for the Into the Wild adventure.
Schedule a Sleepover for you Pack for Friday, March 18. Contact the Maritime Aquarium reservations department at 203-852-0700 ext. 2206 Mon-Fri between 9:30-4:30 to register their group. There is a $200 deposit due at the time of reservation.
